Hibbing Fire Chief Erik Janika ~ Cherry Bus Crash
Chief Jankila has been with the Hibbing Fire Department, in Minnesota, for 32 years. He is a certified instructor for both Fire and EMS related classes with over twenty-five (25) years of instructional experience. Chief Jankila is also trained as a HAZMAT and High Angle/Confined Space Rescue technician. He has numerous certifications from the National Fire Academy.
Hibbing Fire Capt. Kristi McCormick
Captain McCormick has been with the Hibbing Fire Department, in Minnesota, since December of 2001. She is currently serving as the EMS Director. She is a MNDOT instructor for EMS Training and has been a BLS/ACLS/PALS instructor since 2009. Capt. McCormick has served in the MBFTE Fire Service Leadership program since March of 2020. She has also been an Arrowhead CISM team member since 2018.
