Tony Zdroik - Juvenile Laws Update

Tony Zdroik is the Juvenile Division Head in the Washington County Attorney’s Office.  He has worked in that office since 1998 and has been in his current position since 2005.  As the Juvenile Division Head, Tony supervises 6 other attorneys who prosecute juvenile offenses, represent Washington County Community Services on child protection cases, and assist families who are struggling with school attendance issues.  Tony has also served on the juvenile law committee of the Minnesota County Attorney’s Association, is the chairperson of the Juvenile Operations Group in Washington County, and serves on the Children’s Justice Initiative in Washington County.

Tony has trained law enforcement officers, social workers, probation officers, school officials and other attorneys on many topics related to juvenile prosecution and child protection.  He has regularly trained school resources officers through the Minnesota School Safety Center and speaks yearly at the Minnesota Juvenile Officer’s Association Annual Meeting.  Tony has made presentations on juvenile search and seizure law, juvenile interrogations, certification, data practices for school resource officers, diversion practices, and many child protection issues.
